About Suzy, your host
Who I am
I am Suzy, your host at Old Quarter Review. I live and work in Hanoi, and the Old Quarter is the part of my city I never get tired of. It is where my family eats, drinks coffee and buys gifts, and it is the ground I cross every working week.
On this channel I speak English on camera and take you where we actually go: real portions, real prices, and the small details guidebooks skip, from egg coffee at dawn to the night market on a Friday.
Why this channel exists
Most videos about the Old Quarter are in Vietnamese, or dubbed by a machine, or filmed by visitors in their first 48 hours. Visitors from America, Europe and Australia kept asking the same honest questions: what does this really cost, where do locals eat, what should I skip. This channel is my answer, one street at a time, from someone who lives here.
What I am not, yet
I am not a licensed tour guide yet, and I will not pretend otherwise. My plan is to earn the international guide card properly, the legal way, and this page will say so the day it happens. Until then I am your host and route designer, never your official guide, and I never take bookings or payments in chat.
How tours work here
When a film makes you want a private tour, the flow is simple and legal. I design the route. Bao Son Travel, a licensed travel company holding international travel business license 01-370/2015/TCDL-GP LHQT, sells the tour and sends your written quote. A licensed guide leads your day, and I join when my schedule allows. We reply to every serious message within 12 hours.
